From Reims, you can discover champagnes produced from Pinot Meunier in the Marne valley, as well as those produced from Pinot Noir. You can also visit the Côte de Blancs region and taste 100% Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs champagnes, which are made from Chardonnay. This tour will allow you to discover the different grape varieties used to produce exceptional quality champagnes in the Champagne region.

Option 2. Veuve Clicquot and Reims tour
Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin House is a famous champagne house founded in 1772 and based in Reims. Veuve Clicquot Brut Carte Jaune champagne is a blend of reserve wines made from grapes from 50-60 different crus. Its structure is mainly due to the predominance of Pinot Noir (50-55%), while Chardonnay (28-33%) gives it finesse and elegance. A small percentage of Pinot Meunier (15-20%) completes the blend. This champagne is aged for at least 3 years in the house’s cellars, which give it its silky texture.

Option 3. Dom Ruinart
Ruinart House is the oldest active champagne house. It was founded in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, who was the first to market champagne in a bottle. Since its creation, the Ruinart House has distinguished itself by its exceptional quality and constant innovation. It was the first to use clear glass bottles for its champagnes, allowing consumers to see the wine’s color before buying it. Ruinart House was also one of the first to use labels on its bottles, making it easier to identify and differentiate between the different crus. Today, the Ruinart House is recognized for its exceptional quality champagnes, which are enjoyed worldwide.
