A half day from Reims for a workshop at Calomène & Palobec, in Hermonville: you taste the wines straight from the tanks, make your own blend and leave with the bottle. Your chauffeur drives you there, stays on site and brings you back.
Hermonville is a village in the hills of the Massif de Saint-Thierry, about 15 kilometers (9 miles) northwest of Reims. Calomène & Palobec has its winery there: it makes still (non-sparkling) wines that are certified organic, unfined, unfiltered, made with no additives and with little or no sulfites. This is where the workshops take place.
The blending workshop starts from these wines. You taste them straight from the tanks, learn what each one brings, then make your own. It is a still wine, not a Champagne, and that is what lets you take a bottle home the same day.
We book the workshop in your name, set the pickup time around its schedule, and your chauffeur stays on site the whole time. You can taste without a second thought: nobody has to get back behind the wheel.
This plan is for the blending workshop, with pickup at 2:30 pm. The half day can also be in the morning, depending on the workshop’s time slots.
Your chauffeur picks you up at your hotel, the train station or your address, then it is about twenty minutes’ drive northwest, to the foot of the Massif de Saint-Thierry.
Two hours in the winery. You taste each wine from its tank and note what it brings, then measure out your own blend until it tastes right to you. The workshop team guides you from start to finish.
The workshop ends with a bottle of your own wine. Your chauffeur has stayed on site: the car is waiting for you outside the winery.
Drop-off at your hotel, the train station or right at the restaurant where you are having dinner.
Times are approximate: the workshop sets its own time slots, and we set the pickup around them.
Four options, from a guided tasting to distilling. You choose, we book, and we plan the half day around how long it lasts.
A tour of the winery and a guided tasting of three wines, to get to know the place in half an hour.
The craft of the artisan winemaker and the steps in making a wine, then four wines tasted with a board of charcuterie and cheese.
The wines tasted from the tanks, your own blend, and a bottle of your creation to take home.
An introduction to distilling: how the still works, then your own herbal liqueur, which you take home in a personalized flask.
Options offered by the workshop: they are paid on site, and we give you the price of the one you choose with your quote.
One fixed price per vehicle for the half day, quoted before you book. It stays the same whatever the number of guests, up to the vehicle’s capacity.

The workshop is paid separately, on site, at Calomène & Palobec: we book it for you and give you its price with your quote. For 8 guests or more, ask us for a quote.
Hermonville is about two hours’ drive from Paris: four hours in the car, round trip, for a two-hour workshop is too much. The workshop fits better into a full day from your Paris hotel, with a cellar visit in the morning if you like, quoted on request. For reference, our Champagne day trip from Paris is €1040 (~$1165 USD) per vehicle by sedan.
No. The workshop makes a still wine, not a Champagne: Champagne needs a second fermentation in the bottle and at least fifteen months in the cellar, which does not fit into an afternoon. You leave with a bottle of your own wine, or with a flask of liqueur after the Spirit Experience.
Sixième Sens, the same team’s second venue, is the place for that: a wine shop and wine bar that pours Champagnes from growers in the Massif de Saint-Thierry, along with its own house wines. Tell us when you book, and we check with them what they can do on your date.
For Le Sacré Atelier, L’Assemblage and the Spirit Experience, yes: the workshop runs them for two people or more. If you are coming on your own, ask us for La D.O.C., the half-hour guided tasting.
About three hours door to door with L’Assemblage, a little more with the Spirit Experience: the half day covers up to four hours. If you stay longer, each extra hour is €75 (~$85 USD) by sedan and €90 (~$100 USD) by van.
Yes. In the morning, a grower or a great house in Reims; in the afternoon, Hermonville. We then quote the full day on request.
Yes, up to 3 guests by sedan and 7 by van: the price is fixed per vehicle, whatever the number of guests. For 8 or more, ask us for a quote: we first check that there is room at the workshop.
Send us the date, the number of guests and your pickup address, through the form or by phone. We reply within 2 hours during the day with the plan and the fixed price. Your booking is confirmed once you sign the quote.
By card (secure payment link) or by bank transfer, when you book. We do not take cash. We can issue the invoice in your company’s name.
Our chauffeurs speak French and English. A Japanese-speaking guide is available on request, at extra cost.
Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before pickup. Between 48 and 24 hours, half the price is due, and the full price after that. The houses have their own cancellation terms for their tours. Details are on our cancellation and refund page.
